the Finnish association of media culture was established in Spring 2000 by a group of new media culture professionals – artists, producers, researchers, designers and programmers. The founders felt an acute need to support production, research and development of media culture by enhancing the structures, practices and qualities of the field and by furthering its recognition in culture and technology policy.
