SKC has been established in 1971. and since then has played a pivotal role in forming the avangarde belgrade scene and with it's programmes trying to interlink with international artists. It's the leading figure for young emerging artists that are presenting the experimental arts to the wider auditorium. There are several departments: music, film, theatre, art (3 galleries), multidisciplinary and educational programmes.
