lecturer Description:Dave Griffiths is an artist, filmmaker and occasional curator/programmer based in Manchester. Dave focuses on experimental film, video installations, and non-fiction short film. He has exhibited internationally since 2002 in a variety of festivals, conferences, galleries, micro-cinemas and other temporary artist-run spaces. In 2003 along with Nick Jordan, Dave curated and published the Codec/x DVD of video and sonic collaborations from Manchester that toured internationally. He teaches video practice in north-west England, and is currently attempting to produce film projects using mobile-media technology and network-responsive data visualisation. In 2004 Dave helped to develop the Purescreen artist's video screenings & publications for Castlefield Gallery, Manchester.
